The Liwanag Kultural Center, affectionately referred to as the LKC, is a Daly City community center located at Hillside Park. Though most of its programs are geared towards learning about the Filipino community’s culture, history, and issues and provide ways for people to help address the needs of that community, the LKC is not limited to serving Filipinos and Filipino Youth. Through its work at Jefferson High School on the F.A.C.E.S. project, the LKC hopes to help foster a positive and safe space for all Jeff students after school on Fridays by providing any interested Jefferson HS students or faculty the resources needed to bring people together and develop events which celebrate the school’s vibrant culture.
